- 30 minutes of editing per month cannot be split, it must be used as a single request. Unused time is not rolled into the next month
- 1 Year Spam Protection Licence expires 12 months after the commencement of the maintenance plan. Renewal can be processed, subject to a further 12-month maintenance plan commitment.

Why do I need to update the software and plugins?
Bear Sites builds all websites using WordPress and the Divi Theme Framework, along with carefully chosen plugins and extensions that enhance the website’s functionality. However, like all software, there is a possibility of errors, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.
To prevent your website from breaking down due to bugs or being compromised by hackers, it is crucial to regularly update and maintain the software. This significantly minimizes the risk of such issues and ensures that your website runs smoothly and securely.
What is an Uptime Monitor?
A website uptime monitor is like a watchdog that keeps an eye on your website to make sure it’s always up and running smoothly.
It’s like a snooper that checks your site frequently to make sure it’s available to everyone who wants to visit it.
If there’s a problem and your site is down or not working properly, the monitor will give you a heads-up so you can fix the issue before your customers get too annoyed. It’s like having a handy helper that keeps your online business going strong!
Where are the backups store and how long are they kept?
All website backups are kept in an encrypted server for up to 90 days.
If you would like a copy of any of the backups, I can send you a copy upon request.
Can Bear Sites restore my website if it breaks?
All of my maintenance plans include backups performed using a professional, premium management platform. These backups are stored on a separate, encrypted server for added security. In the event that something goes wrong with your website, I will use these backups to restore your website to its previous state. However, I cannot guarantee that the backups will always be usable in every case.
While I am always willing to help where possible, I do not offer a “fix my website” service. Restoring a damaged website can sometimes be a quick process, but it can also take several hours. In cases where restorations exceed 45 minutes, there will be a charge of £75 per hour. I will always attempt the quickest restoration process first and will discuss any additional charges with you before commencing any work.
Additionally, depending on the workload and schedule, it may take a few days before work can commence on restoring your website. I will keep you informed throughout the process and provide an estimated timeline for completion.
